Sarasota Memorial welcomes new Family Physician

SARASOTA– Sarasota Memorial Health Care System welcomed a new family practice physician into its First Physician Group (FPG) network. On Aug. 20, Nadia Hanna, MD, will begin accepting new patients at Family Practice Associates, 6128 S. Tamiami Trail, where she will join family medicine physicians Barry Stein, MD, and Kevin Dunn, MD, internal medicine/pediatric specialist Kristen Paulus, MD, and nurse practitioner Carol Phillips, ARNP.

Family Practice Associates is part of First Physicians Group – a network of more than 72 primary and specialty care physicians employed by Sarasota Memorial to help fill the gaps caused by a shortage of primary care physicians in the region. Board certified in family practice, Dr. Hanna has worked as family medicine specialist since 2006. She came to Sarasota from Potosi, Missouri, where she spent the past six years as the clinic director and family physician at the Austin Plaza Primary Care Clinic at Washington County Memorial Hospital. Previously she worked as a family medicine resident for three years at Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana. She earned her medical degree at the University of Alexandria School of Medicine, Egypt and completed her residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Evansville, Indiana. In Egypt and in Evansville, she volunteered at free, faith-based clinics, providing primary care to children and adults.
